Brief us about the inception of your career? What were your ambitions as a teenager?
I started my productive paying career as a tutor for two kindergarten students for about $3.00 a month! During my childhood, my beliefs were heavily influenced by the surroundings I grew up in. And, I believed that if you do well academically, your career and life are set. This led me to secure 3 masters degrees as a result. During the first two, which I did in parallel, I was intrigued by direct marketing concepts from the West and joined a direct marketing company which saw me go door to door and build a team over 1.5 years, perhaps the best training I ever got which formed the foundation of my later years. This was an unconventional step for someone who could have gotten a cushy job right out of grad school. But, I enjoyed my time there. Later, I started my own direct marketing company and eventually got into tech. That saw me come to the US to get another tech related MBA since my previous degrees happened in traditional settings. I spent about 22 years in the US climbing the corporate ladder, experiencing the snakes and ladders of the game. I went on to pursue entrepreneurial ventures too on the side. Eventually, in 2019, just prior to the pandemic, it dawned on me that irrespective of how long or how well you did in the corporate world, you are whittled down to a 2 page resume. All your experience and expertise will die with you if you don’t share. I took a page out of my teaching career when I taught undergrad and grad business students, a time I thoroughly enjoyed and started a podcast, Plan B Success to do just that, focused on entrepreneurs, career professionals and students. That podcast has grown leaps and bounds, listened to across the world and is also a YouTube channel. I have invested in and currently focused on growing SaaS based businesses under the Incepteo Ventures Group. These two keep me busy and I share my experiences of being an entrepreneur and a solopreneur at the same time, over various social media channels.
As for my teenage years, I believe I wanted to be anything and everything that caught my fancy; from teaching to acting to spirituality and more. I was like a sponge absorbing what the world had to offer.
What are the aims and ideals that guide you as you run your company?
Service is the cornerstone ideal that guides me in all my endeavors. I am all about serving to the benefit of the consumer, in the best possible way and if you focus on that, it will help grow your business and money will follow. Whether it’s the end consumer or those who make it possible to serve, everyone should be learning, evolving and benefiting in their specific journeys with us.
As an innovative leader, how do you manage to inspire your team to innovate and think outside the box?
There are no rule books to follow. Create what works for you and while you may take inspiration from others, don’t just follow blindly and confine your creative self. Take calculated risks, focus on consumer satisfaction and benefit in all that you do. This is what I propagate to my team.
What were the challenges and obstacles you faced along the way?
I faced a lot of challenges along the way, perhaps many were self imposed as to what you have told yourself mentally. Self limiting beliefs, allowing others to influence you, self doubt based on those you look up to, I have been through it all. And, now, I have reigned over each of these. Remember, at the end of the day, if you fail or succeed, you have to OWN IT UP. No one else is spending an ounce of their thinking on you as you believe they are. So, chart your own path and pull along those who want to be on the same journey as you.
What sets your company apart from the rest of the market? Do you believe in diversifying?
What sets us apart is our thinking and execution strategy. At Incepteo Ventures, we are on a journey to ideate, build and grow about 4-6 SaaS companies over the next 18-24 months. The difference is that we will do this ourselves from soup to nuts and each one will go through a disciplined journey over 180 days to be commercially viable. We are executing this ourselves. We already have about 3 ready and going into commercialization. For example, Collude.cloud is a branded private social network to help businesses and aggregators of businesses (such as chambers of commerce, university alumni organizations, recruitment agencies etc.) build their brand and engagement on the backend of time and effort invested in their prospects and clients, so they may retain their loyalty and see ROI in terms of increased revenues and repeat business. We also have an Insurance CRM company and an HR Tool set company. So, yes we do believe in diversifying.
On the Plan B Success end, we will continue to create and share cutting edge content, courses, speaking engagements and more within the self development space.

We see our business, both Incepteo Ventures and Plan B Success growing phenomenally over the next few years. We expect to respond to the lows with cautious planning, razor sharp focus on value creation and delivery to our consumers, employees and investors, and a very focused execution strategy.
Plan B Success is also in the business of consumer growth and satisfaction through their self development.
What is your advice to budding entrepreneurs who wish to kick start their careers?
Be like a sponge and learn all you can, there are so many resources now available for you to do that. Learn from others’ mistakes and make your own, but let them be different and don’t repeat the same one twice. Fail fast and hard as you figure out your success strategy. Don’t let anyone else tell you what you are capable of, believe in yourself and develop the stamina to go through the lows and highs on this long ride.
