How would you describe your journey? Brief us on the inception story of your career.
No two days are alike. I work on different subjects every day. In the morning I may be visiting locations for an event, in the afternoon organizing a photo shoot. I work every day on different projects and in different sectors.
Enlighten us about your role in the organisation you are leading / associated with?
Today I’ve set up my own company: Cube Maggik, in reference to the ‘Cube maggi’, the essential ingredient used to add flavor to dishes. The name fits well with my company, which diversifies into several sectors and whose missions vary according to each customer. I work on a daily basis with a team of people on the big projects where I can’t be on my own, and I also have 2 interns who support me on the business and communication side.
Where do you find inspiration? What motivates you to work harder?
My inspiration comes from the projects I work on and the people I collaborate with. I’m lucky at my young age (although I don’t like to talk about luck, but rather about hard work) to be able to do a job that I love and, above all, to be 100% independent. This is what motivate me to work harder: freedom and independence.
Kindly mention some of the notable recognitions and accreditations received by your person.
I’ve always received letters of recommendation at the end of my internships or projects. The people I work with trust me and support me on a daily basis. That’s what makes me so strong and enables me to stand out from the crowd in this highly competitive sector.
What is the one thing you wish you had known about women in your line of work before you started working?
It’s not an easy job. As I said above, events and fashion is a very competitive business. Companies are looking for more men, so it’s hard for women to make their mark.
Do you believe it is compulsory for a woman to manage a household alongside her work?
Nothing is mandatory. A woman does what she can and what she wants.
As a woman, what has been the highlight of you career? What are the changes you wish to make for the better in your professional life post-pandemic?
Working from home is something that has marked my career. Indeed, since the pandemic, customers and companies have noticed that it’s possible to work remotely, so I’ve found it easy to get contracts with people based in both the USA and Australia.
Brief us on the changes the pandemic brought to your sector and your market. Has the work-culture altered?
Yes, of course, as I said earlier, it has made it easier to work with customers who were thought to be inaccessible because of the distance. I’ve been able to work with people all over the world and, above all, at my own pace. I don’t have to answer to anyone and can organize my schedule as I see fit, and that’s a luxury.
What words of wisdom/ inspiration/ advice would you offer to the next generation of female leaders?
The future is ours. Our generation is doing everything it can to ensure that women have their place in society, so seize every opportunity you can and fight to get where you want to be.
